A family affair

Both families contributed to a part of the wedding between my daughter and her fiancee now husband, Jonathan.

Susan ( Jonathan's mother) sorted out and paid for the photo albums. I received mine about a month ago, so here is the thank you card I am sending to Susan.

The main image is obviously made in the cuttlebug, the background is tissue paper coloured with moonglow starburst sprays and the stamp themeplate I've used is the Elegant Iris by Elusive Images.

(The flower is a bit squashed because the picture is taken on a scanner.)

I will post some of the wedding photos next!

Here are some pictures of the wedding that consumed so much of my time and energy last year.

First of all this is my beautiful daughter, of whom I am very proud. She did a lot of the organising of this wedding beginning a whole year before! She did a really good job of it though.

Hi, Just a quick post, I've got the family coming for dinner, so busy, busy, busy!

The blog is still in process of being designed but I keep forgetting how to do things hence it seems to take an eternity.

Thanks to Lesley and Suzy for the comments and encouraging me to pull my finger out and post!

Will be back soon I have wedding photos to post and cards to make.

Well after a long absence from my blog due to a hectic year with my daughter's wedding to plan for and finding out that I have ME (which was quite a relief, at least I know why I feel like I'm swimming up hill all the time, and sooo tired!), I've decided to post on here again.

I'm not entirely happy with this card, I like the butterfly piece it is all sparkly and glittered , which doesn't show up too well on here, but I don't like it on this card. I think the sentiment needs to be centred but I'm still not sure it works.

This was made for a sister-in-law's birthday using the greetings frame stamps, again from the GG collection. The background paper comes from the Damask Delights CD from Artylicious. The colouring in was done with glimmer mists from the fairy blossom set.

I've been trying my hand at using a brayer recently and this is one of the first pieces I made as a result. The stamp is one of the Graphicus Guild stamps which I have also just purchased.

This was supposed to be my attempt at the Graphicus April Challenge, but unfortunately I realised that I had used some letters that are not available on the Graphicus site, so I had to withdraw this from the competition.

The background is made using one of the Elusive Images texture stamps, as is the stamping on the letters. The trees with blossom are from the Arboretum themeplate, another EI stamp.
The inks I have used are versamagic on the background and brilliance inks for the rest.

The letters I've used are from the Paper Mill, I picked them up in a sale.

This is my version of the Harlequin Rose image, using the fairy blossom glimmer mists.

The corrugated card has been toned down from a vibrant yellow with mimosa and the rose is also is painted with the glimmer mists.

I've been doing a lot of cards from the Paisley Elephant themeplate i bought in the sale recently, so here's one example.

My son picked this one out today as one of his favourites so i thought i'd publish it.

I've used the fairy blossom glimmer mists for this one.

This is a card i did recently for a friends birthday. She's rather taken with the butterflies and the verse and i've made one for her for a friend's birthday.

The stamps are from EI, naturally, and the background paper is from the Damask Delights cd-rom.
